September was always going to be my month of recovery but I ended up doing more running than anticipated. Nothing focused, just running because I want to. I was happy to run TMC and do pretty well. Obviously the training has paid off and has shown me the way to what I am capable of. I recon I could go faster next year with a bit more speed training thrown in for good measure.
My goals for the rest of the year are to do Skyrun and work on my speed for the road. I have not run anything fast for ages so it will be fun. I even joined coach Dion and the gang at the UCT track on Tuesday. I will continue to do so and see where this takes me. This and working on general strength and core strength will be the focus. (and trying to not fall off my new mountain bike on every ride I do!) Happy weekend all!
