The horror of the Maryland Sniper John Allen Mohammad hit the front pages in 2002 when I was doing a round the world climbing trip. Now seven years later he is executed in another horror show. I just can not believe that the Death Penalty is still alive and kicking and that sane people believe that retribution will make things better.
